Black is 0% opacity thus transparent.Īssuming you have an addon that should use the texture and you have a media folder in that addon. White color on the alpha layer means 100% opacity. The alpha layer decribes the opacity that is applied to the image layer later on. Means a valid texture size is 32x32 and so on. Like in WoW your textures need to match a size multiplier of 8. You can grab that plugin right from nVidia. To work with DDS textures you need DDS plugin for your image editor.

Just install Irfanview and after that install the Irfanview plugin. Irfanview has you covered on the viewer side. To work with them you will need an image viewer and an image editor. I set the "Amount" value of wavelet sharpen to 1 instead of 0 because it is the most common value.ESO works with DDS () textures. But as it seems to be essentially the same code, the rest of the explanations are still valid. Note that in Gimp 2.10, DDS support is standard, no plugin installation is necessary. If you need wavelet denoise and wavelet sharpen, here is a link to a zip which contains binaries of both plug-ins for Linux 64, Windows 32, and Windows 64. This new version contains a few corrections and adds explanations to each of the RGB types (bit depth, with or without alphas, etc). It contains the 32 and 64-bit Windows installers.

It was a DNS blocking at first, and it could be rather easily got around, but now the server is offline ) Sorry: this interesting Brazilian site has been closed without warning because it also hosted illegal ebooks. I can't access s giving me an error message Thank you so much! Installed and works like a champ! The former version was not working properly, so, if something is wrong, despite I tested it, please let me know.įrançois Collard (a group admin) edited this topic 46 months ago. scm) into the window then click "Install" after checking your Gimp version, but Windows 10 will probably ask for special permissions before allowing you to install it. I also wrote a Gimp Plugin Installer, where you have just to drop plug-in files (.exe. You will find it in the Filters > Enhance menu If you are still using an old 32-bit machine, or a 32-bit version of Gimp, use this executable. I have just made fresh Windows compilations of the sources for you: Prokoudine brought you a link to the source files of the plug-in. I'm wondering if the fact that it does NOT have an executable file (.exe.) file is the reason it will not work in Windows 10.

I also edited the preferences to target the location of the folder and it still didn't show. Thanks very much for the help although I've downloaded the file, unzipped and placed it in the plugin folder for both 2.9.6 and 2.9.8. So it seems that 2.9 isn't downwards compatible with 2.8, which makes life a bit difficult for people like you and me. I added the wavelet-sharpen executable to the plug-in directory and gimp 2.9 didn't accept it, but more or less crashed. Unfortunately I cannot help, but just confirm your findings. Am I doing something wrong? Is it even compatible with these new versions or is there another plugin that replaces the wavelet shapen plugin that I've been using in 2.8?By the way, I'm using windows 10. I have tried to install the Wavelet Sharpen plugin in both 2.9 versions but it doesn't show up. Granted, I'm not a tech guru and probably will never touch the potential of the "new" gimp. I just installed 2.9.6 and 2.9.8 and really like what I'm discovering. I have used the sharpening plugin "Wavelet Sharpen" in the past with the GIMP 2.8.14 version.
